Under “Women & Girl’s Health & Hygiene” Healing Hands Nepal conducts a “Menstrual Hygiene Management Awareness Program” to support and strengthen the capacity of schools girls in managing menstrual hygiene in Parbat, Gorkha and Lamjung districts of Nepal, monthly, with a vision to educate girls to effectively manage and sustain menstrual hygiene and sanitation practices whenever and wherever they are. Plus these girls must commit themselves to support other girls within and outside the school i.e the communities/other schools in collaboration with women teachers to share the knowledge of intimate hygiene.

Nepal’s economy is dominated by agriculture; it is still the livelihood for more than 88 percent of the population, although only approximately 20 percent of the total land area is cultivable. Our mission is to improve the livelihoods of the rural communities through the promotion of environmentally and economically sustainable Agroforestry practices including organic farming techniques.

The main objective of the Dental Health Camp is to provide dental disease treatments in school children and locals of rural Nepal to motivate dental health hygiene. In general, it is a program of dental screenings, demonstrating brushing methods and oral hygiene instructions by dentists and dental kits distribution.
The districts we choose for our mobile clinics are the ones that have very little access to Dental Hospitals or clinics. We prefer taking services to people where they have to travel hours for any minor or major dental problems.
Healing Hands Nepal is planning for Dental Tour (mobile dental clinics) throughout the country to address dental problems starting 2020 with National and International Dentists.
